• 2 pounds, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1/2 cup ground cashew nuts
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • salt to taste


Cut chicken breasts into 1 inch strips. In a large shallow bowl, combine together bread crumbs, ground almonds, ground cashew nuts, cilantro, salt and pepper. Place flour in a shallow dish . In a separate shallow bowl, beat eggs with milk. Now put chicken strips in flour, then dip in egg mixture. Then roll in nuts mixture. Turn to coat evenly Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry chicken strips for 10 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Nutty Chicken Strips are ready now. Serve hot with Yogurt Dipping Sauce.
